We’re back! We are so excited to welcome you back to the Vancouver International Children’s Festival! We will offer an In-person Festival on Granville Island (May 31 – June 5) and Online programming (May 31 – June 12) this spring.

We’ve got many exciting shows and special events planned for you this year!

Festival Passes

All performances are ticketed and require one of the following passes. All ticket prices are subject to service charges and GST with no refunds or exchanges.

Tickets include 1 performance and 1 Activity Village wristband.

Purchasing tickets on site

During the festival you can purchase or pick-up tickets at the festival box office beside The Nest (1398 Cartwright Street). Cash & Credit Cards only. Tickets are available online and at the on-site Box Office until 2 hours before the show and then in person at the venue door 1 hour before the show, if available. Shows often sell out so we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.


Ticketing ages

Child = 1 to 17 years
Adult = 18 + years
Senior = 65+ years
Babes in arms = under 1 year

Age policy

Age ratings have been developed to ensure a positive and enriching theatrical experience for everyone.  As a courtesy to the rest of the audience & the performers it is suggested that children younger than the ages listed not attend as they may become frightened or disruptive. Please refer to the performance pages for specific ratings.

Everyone needs a wristband!

To enter the festival site activity village adults and children are required to wear a wristband. Younger children are not to be left unattended in the festival activities.

  • Wristbands are sold on-site only, cash only
  • Festival site activity wristband  – $6 per person (includes GST and Service Charges)

ONLINE TICKET INFORMATION

While we would love to see you in-person at the Festival this year, we understand that not everyone is able or comfortable with attending a live performance. The 2022 Festival offers some Pre-recorded Online Performance options that families can watch from the comfort of home which are available for purchase until 4pm on Sunday, June 12.

Online Show Ticket

  • Household $24

Multiple viewers can watch 1 Vancouver International Children’s Festival Online Performance for only $24 per show. Your ticket also includes access to 2 Online Arts Workshops.
