A Star is Born

Step into the night sky with your little one and share a moment of awe and wonder. Beneath the cosmos, twinkling stars dance and invite little ones to play. What stories do the constellations have to tell? 

This gentle, sensory-rich show wraps audiences in a suspended moment of poetry. Dancing projections, glowing lights, and soothing melodies create a dreamlike space where babies and their caregivers can pause, breathe, and simply be. Developed in collaboration with families, Baby Space Opera offers a tender meditation on our place in the universe—an enchanting journey for the very youngest of dreamers. Watch the video below.

This show is an interesting experience for any baby, however, parents or caregivers who are blind, partially sighted or Deaf may find it less accessible.

Lights
There will be no flashing or strobing lights
It will be dark sometimes
Lights will move 
Intense coloured lights
Transitions will be slow
If you participate and come onto the stage, bright lights may shine in your eyes

Sound
There is sound and music all the time
Mostly voice, flute and background music
Sometimes it becomes loud but always gradual

Audience participation
Babies who come into the dancing space are welcomed
There will be moments for everyone to join
You can always choose to participate or not
If for any reason your baby finds themself lost in the dancing space or needing your support, feel free to come and retrieve them.

Languages
There is no talking after the curtain speech
The songs have French words
