Welcome Kelly

We’d like to officially introduce you to Kelly Creelman. She joined our team as our new Audience Services Manager earlier this year so this introduction is well overdue. Kelly runs our Box Office, oversees our ticketing system, and she will facilitate the Festival’s Adopt a Class program.  Learn more about Kelly below!

Can you tell us a little about your role at the Festival?

My role is to find fun ways to make everyone’s Festival experience simple, joyful and more engaging.

What are your initial thoughts and experiences?

It has been great getting to know the organization and people who run it. I am looking forward to bringing a fresh set of eyes and enthusiasm to the society’s current and future projects/activities.

Please tell us why you decided to get involved with the Festival?

Because of the organization’s reputation for excellence and kindness.

What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time? Making stuff!

What do you wish other people knew about the Festival?

I wish more people knew about the Festival’s rich history and affect on international children’s festivals.

What would you consider your hidden talent? Singing.

How are you involved in your community?

I host making circles and I try to be kind and compassionate to everyone who crosses my path (as much as humanly possible).

What part of the Festival are you looking forward to the most?

The happy surprises!

How do you get creatively playful?

There are so many ways, here are my top three:

  1. Free style R&B vocal jams with my Sister and a good friend
  2. Virtual dance parties with friends in other cities
  3. Gathering a pile of paper, fabric, photos, magazines, stickers, sparkles, adhesives and anything else I can get my hands on and making pretty/ugly things
