The Vancouver Children’s Festival may be over for this year but there’s still other ways to have fun this summer. Take a look at our list below and get out and have some fun!
Canada Day at Granville Island
Bring the kids to Granville Island this Canada Day! Granville Island is bursting at the seams with culturally diverse national pride! Around every corner you’ll find entertainment, artwork and food! “Beatrice” and “Brutus, our Dragon puppets will make an appearance in the Canada Day Parade. Come join the fun!
Carnaval Del Sol
Be sure to check out Carnaval Del Sol, a free Outdoor Latin Fiesta at Concord Pacific on July 9th & 10th. Pack your summer colourful clothes and come Eat, Play and Live Latin America! Special activities for kids include Mini Chef experience, Kids’ Spa, Arts & Crafts, Kids’ Shows, Magicians, Puppets and much more.
Vancouver Folk Festival
Over 60 brilliant artists and groups from more than 18 countries perform on seven beachfront stages at the 39th Vancouver Folk Music Festival. This year’s lineup includes Bruce Cockburn, Lord Huron, The New Pornographers, Haiti’s Lakou Mizik, and many others. Have fun in the Little Folks Village with Publik Secrets Musical Playground, storytelling and parades at the Nylon Zoo, Keys to the Street, hooping sessions and much more! July 15-17 at Jericho Beach Park.
