Image of compassThis multimedia film project is based on the story ‘East of the Sun, West of the Moon’ with a focus on the four elements where a young woman travels east of the sun and west of the moon to rescue a king turned into a bear by a terrible witch. Featuring a group of elementary and secondary students from Smithers, BC and working under the mentorship of a variety of professional artists, the ensemble will create an original piece based on the story.  Susan Bertoia, the Creative Director of the project, will guide this process, to be filmed in Smithers. Commissioned by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival.
