Youth bloggers on site!

May 29, 2012

Our two Festival youth bloggers, Maxwell Neck and Aeden Taylor, are armed with laptops and cameras and ready to cover the Festival. We are thrilled to hear what they think. As we speak, Aeden is
watching Under the Stars with a theatre full of young performance fans.

Here’s is an introductory post by Maxwell.

Hello to the all the citizens of Vancouver! I have been given the great honor to be one of the youth bloggers for this year’s Vancouver International Children’s Festival. I myself have a food blog
calledMmm’s Da Word , so feel free to check it out.

For the past five years (I’m 13 for those of you who are wondering), I have been living on Lasqueti Island, one of the northern gulf islands, which happens to be completely off the grid: no
electricity other than alternative sources such as solar, wind and micro hydro. But before I moved to Lasqueti, I too was a Vancouverite, and now I’m back to give you reviews of some of the many
shows at the Festival.   I hope you are as excited as I am! So come down to Granville Island to experience the 35th annual Children’s Festival, I am absolutely sure you will have a blast! Who
knows… we might even run into each other.    Next up: a few reviews!
