Name

The Vancouver International Children’s Festival Society acknowledges that we create and work on the ancestral, traditional, stolen and unceded territories of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) people and the Sníchim speaking Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) people. We acknowledge the on-going cultural genocides of Indigenous Peoples by Canada, particularly the atrocities committed against children. We commit to work with the Indigenous Peoples of this land to raise the voices of Indigenous children through creativity and play.
