On The Trapline: David A. Robertson

On the Trapline Event

Spend an engaging morning with bestselling, Governor General’s Literary Award-winning author David A. Robertson who will keep little ones entertained with his latest work On the Trapline. In collaboration with illustrator Julie Flett, Robertson’s work celebrates Indigenous culture and traditions, and honours our connections to the past. This book perfectly captures the experience of a young child’s wonder as he is introduced to places that hold meaning to his family. This wonder will surely traverse the airwaves as the veteran speaker, and father himself, shares this meaningful tale with young audiences.

Themes: Family, intergenerational friendship, community, and Indigenous experience.
Curriculum Connections: English Language Arts K-2, and Social Studies K-2. Suitable for Grades K-2.

Co-presented with The Vancouver Writers Fest.
