A Festival in Motion with the Port of Vancouver

A day at the Vancouver International Children’s Festival is always full of energy. Kids move from one experience to the next, discovering something new and jumping into activities along the way. It’s the kind of day where curiosity takes the lead and every moment feels a little different from the last.

This year, with support from the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, representing the Port of Vancouver, 200 students will take part in that experience through our Adopt a Class program, giving them the chance to step into something new and be part of the Festival for the day.

For many of these students, it’s their first time at the Festival. It might be their first live performance, their first time trying a new activity, or simply a chance to explore something outside of their usual routine.

And while it may feel like a fun day out, it’s also a chance to see how everything connects. Just like the Festival, the Port is all about movement: bringing people, goods, and communities together every day in ways we don’t always see.

Visit the Port of Vancouver tent in the Activity Village on Sat, May 30 and Sun, May 31. Say hi to Salty the Seagull and enjoy interactive activities that show how the port connects to our everyday lives.
