PEP Talks a Wrap; Save the Date!

March 12, 2014

We opened this season’s PEP Talks  with author and social worker Jennifer Kolari who was described as ” … such a great speaker!” by one attendee. In Jennifer’s
passionate talk on empathic and connected parenting, she provided this profound gem: “What do you want your child to remember about their childhood? That they were deeply loved.”

Our second PEP Talk featured bestselling author and household name Barbara Coloroso who wowed the house in her talk on raising ethical children with wisdom as “Bulllying is learned behaviour. You
need to learn how to hate.”

We closed our series with professor Joel Bakan who memorably said that “to be a good parent today, we need to become active and engaged citizens.”

Hear hear!

Thanks to everyone who came out to The Vancouver Playhouse to participate in three thought-provoking evenings with some of the top thinkers on the issues every parent faces today.
